Matthew Vandewiel is an MESc. with a focus in structural engineering. He is under the supervision of are Dr. Girma Bitsuamlak and Dr. Miriam Capretz, working on how to integrate machine learning application in sustainable building energy monitoring. This research will involve a combination of BIM software, CFD simulations, and machine learning applications. His education is a BESc. in Civil Engineering at Western University.
