Meseret Kahsay is a Mechanical engineer, obtained his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Western University, Canada, and his M.Tech specialization in Thermo-Fluids engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). He is currently a Mitacs Accelerate Postdoctoral Fellow at Western University. Research focuses on computational modeling and simulation for the optimal design of high-performance buildings in terms of energy use and indoor environmental quality. He has research and teaching experience in the field of Thermo-Fluid engineering, with an in-depth understanding of building physics, wind engineering, and optimization. His specialty areas include computational heat and mass transfer, building energy simulation, convective heat transfer, wind-driven rain & snow, airborne dispersion,
