Anwar Hassen

Visiting Researcher

Anwar Endris Hassen is a visiting PhD candidate in the Building Science Research Team. He is part of the Italian National Interest PhD Program in Sustainable Development and Climate Change, jointly offered by Politecnico di Milano and the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS Pavia. His research focuses on the role of the building envelope as a thermal storage system to enhance building energy flexibility and integrate passive strategies. He brings strong expertise in data science, energy modeling, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to support his interdisciplinary work. Anwar holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Thermal and Energy Systems Engineering, from Addis Ababa University.
