Muna Younis
PhD Candidate
Muna Younis is a Ph.D. candidate in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Western University. She received her Master of Engineering degree from Western University in 2017. Before joining Prof. Bitsuamlak’s research team, she worked on low-rise and high-rise projects as a structural designer for the UAE firms. Her current academic research focuses on sustainable and resilient urban design in the Northern regions. She uses Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) integrated with Building Information Modeling (BIM) to investigate/estimate different micro-climate stressors on permafrost-based structures and wind tunnel testing for wind load evaluation.
